A grand jury has indicted a Corbin man on a murder charge in connection with the August shooting death of his daughter's boyfriend.

Police say Bill Cox, 55, shot Ryan Abner, 21, to death in the middle of a Corbin street. The grand jury also indicted Cox on wanton endangerment charges for firing the gun into a vehicle. His daughter and her baby were passengers in the car.

A man claiming to be Cox called 911 after the shooting. During the call, he says Abner "beat on" his daughter.

"I tell you what, I'm gonna to go to prison over this, but it's worth it."
