The Fayette County coroner says he discovered no signs of trauma on the body of a man found dead at a Lexington motel Wednesday.

Firefighters and police responded to the Knights Inn on Stanton Way after reports of a body. They found a dead man, along with two living people who appeared severely malnourished inside a room.

Officers described the two survivors as adult children, apparently over the age of 18, but with developmental or other disabilities. They were taken to UK hospital to be checked out.

The Fayette County coroner identified the dead man as 24-year-old Gerald Lee Lakes.

Investigators say they will have to wait for toxicology results before determining the cause of death.
