The Fayette County Coroner's Office confirmed Thursday that a 3-year-old girl who was found dead Wednesday at home on Graviss Court showed no outward signs of trauma when she was found unresponsive in her home by a Lexington firefighter.
Police say the girl, whose name has not yet been released, went missing for about 30 minutes Wednesday afternoon. Police say a relative of the girl called authorities. Not long after that, the girl was found unconscious by firefighters and rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police did not say exactly where the girl was found, or what her specific injuries were. An autopsy was being performed on the girl Thursday.
