A Madison County couple says they came home to find their dog had been stolen during a burglary this weekend.
Berea Police say the break-in happened on Friday. The couple tells LEX-18 their Yorkie named Toby was stolen along with a mandolin and other items.
The couple says toby is black and tan with a white and silver chest. They believe whoever broke into their house was targeting their dog.
"We don't know if it's Valentines Day coming up, girls want dogs, girls want jewelry. If it's a thing like that. We don't care about any of the material items that were taken. We just want Toby home with us," says Brittany, the dog owner.
The couple is offering a $500 reward for anyone who finds the dog and brings him home. Anyone with information is asked to call the Berea Police Department.
