Police say alcohol was likely involved in a Rowan County accident that sent an SUV crashing into a house Monday afternoon.

Investigators say Edgar Combs was driving along US-60 about 8 miles north of Morehead when he veered into the oncoming lane and slammed into a car driven by Orville Tackett, 80. The SUV left the roadway and crashed into a house.

Combs was airlifted to a West Virginia hospital. EMS took Tackett's wife, Olive, to a local hospital.

Nobody inside the house was hurt.
