Search crews have suspended their search because of dangerous conditions after the report Monday morning of a car going into a Montgomery County creek.
A passerby called police to report a green Geo vehicle floating down Slate Creek. Search crews centered around Spencer Road, located about eight miles south of Mt. Sterling. Montgomery County fire officials called Bath County officials to borrow a boat to help on search.
So far, there is no sign of a vehicle or tire marks indicating where the vehicle entered creek.
Crew suspended their search just after noon Monday because rapid water in the creek made it too dangerous for crews to search. So far, there is no word on when they hope to resume their search.
