The Danville fire department said Tuesday afternoon that they are working on a wreck that they would like motorists to avoid for the next several hours.

The accident happened at U.S. 150 and Kentucky 134. Police say a semi carrying 40 thousand pounds of paper ran red light and smashed into three cars and also took out traffic box.

There were one minor injury reported, and the traffic box will need to be replaced.

Traffic is being re-routed from the 150 bypass and KY 34.

Police say the bypass will be completely shut down until at least 7 p.m.
