Anthony Davis will make over $16 million playing basketball for New Orleans over the next three seasons.
With the collective bargaining agreement establishing the pay for first round draft picks, there isn't much negotiating going on.
The Times-Picayune reports that the total value of the former UK's stars contract is for $16,127,100. During his rookie season, Davis makes $5.144 million of the three year deal which is guaranteed. In year two it's $5,375,760 and the third will be $5,607,240.
The 19-year-old and first pick in the NBA draft is on the U.S. Olympic basketball team that will defend the gold medal in the London Games. Team USA plays its first game on Sunday.
Darius Miller has not agreed to a contract with New Orleans. The former UK forward, as a second round draft choice, isn't going to get a guaranteed contract.
Austin Rivers, who was picked tenth in the first round is slotted to earn $1.865 million in the first year of his three-year contract with New Orleans. The former Duke guard earns $1,949,200 in year two and $2,033,200 in his third season.
