Deputies investigated a car fire in Montgomery County early Thursday morning.

Somebody spotted flames shooting from a vehicle on the Ruth Run Farm along Winchester Road west of Mt.Sterling around 1 a.m. Firefighters put out the fire before it did significant damage to a nearby garage.

Deputies taped off the area and examined some evidence, but the sheriff's office did not release any information about the investigation.
