The homicide of University of Kentucky football player Trent DiGuiro from 1994 will be profiled in Thursday's episode of SINS & SECRETS, premiering Thursday, January 12 at 9 p.m. (ET) on Investigation Discovery.

This crime series makes the location of the crime a central character in each case, and this episode shows how this crime was unique to Lexington and how its aftermath altered the community.

In 1994, Trent Diguiro was gunned down by a sniper's bullet. For years the case went unsolved, until a former student came forward, and risked her own life to help identify the killer - her former boyfriend, Shane Ragland. Ragland was ultimately convicted for the crime, but the verdict was thrown out - leaving everyone in Lexington mourning the loss of Trent, and the lack of justice served.
