The man convicted of manslaughter in the death of a Lexington police officer is scheduled to learn his fate Friday.
A jury convicted Glenn Doneghy of second degree manslaughter in the April 2010 hit- and-run death of Officer Bryan Durman. It recommended a 30-year sentence.
Doneghy's attorneys requested a new trial, arguing the judge broke rules by allowing jurors to go on an unsupervised lunch break during deliberations. A judge denied the request for a new trial.
Sentencing is scheduled for 10 a.m.
