Police in Whitley County said an elderly Florida man was flown to a Tennessee hospital Tuesday morning following a single-vehicle accident on I-75.

The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. near mile marker 1. Upon arrival, police determined that Nathan Stone, 76, of Wildwood, Florida had lost control of his 2001 Chevy Truck and small trailer hit a guardrail and then hit the bridge before coming to a final rest over an embankment.

Stone was flown from the scene to University of Tennessee Hospital. His condition was not released.
