Emergency crews responded to a pair of calls minutes apart along a downtown Lexington street early Tuesday morning.
Around 3:15 a.m., a Lextran bus and a car collided at Vine Street and South Limestone Street. Police say the driver of the car ran a red light. EMS took the driver of the bus to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. There were no passengers on the bus. Two people in the car were not hurt.
At around the same time, firefighters responded to the World Trade Center building on Vine Street after a report of smoke inside. Fire department officials say it was caused by a faulty light fixture.
