A man who walked away from the Marion County Adjustment Center earlier this week is back behind bars. Kenneth Gibson was booked into jail shortly before noon Saturday.
Marion County deputies saw an inmate in the area off of Beantown Road and Raley Road Saturday afternoon.
It was quite a surprise to WWII veteran and farmer Clyde Cecil who lives near the area where deputies found 55-year-old Kenneth Gibson. Gibson was doing time for burglary, robbery and a slew of other charges, including escaping jail. After his 24-plus hours on the run, he now has another escape charge.
How Gibson and the other inmate 49-year-old Ronny Stutes walked away from the adjustment center is still under investigation.
Prison officials say Stutes is still on the run, which marks the 3rd time he's escaped from prison.
