BLOOMSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Officials are hoping to lift evacuation orders in northeastern Pennsylvania this afternoon, as the Susquehanna River continues to recede.
But many of the 70,000 evacuees will find a mess when they return to their homes in Wilkes-Barre and other communities.
The river reached a record high Thursday night and some home were filled to their roofs with muddy water.
