As family and friends prepare to say a final goodbye to a little girl whose death sparked a police investigation in Lexington this week, LEX 18 is learning more about what may have led to her tragic death.
A family member of 3-year-old, Kylee Mills Simmerman, told LEX 18 that the child may have suffocated after crawling into a bean bag Wednesday. The girl's grandfather, state representative Terry Mills of Lebanon, says Kylee was adventurous, and he believes she was on an adventure when this tragedy happened.
Mills says he's grateful for the support the family has received from the community.
Kylee's visitation is Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon. Her funeral is Saturday at 11 a.m. at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon.
