The family of a young Lexington father murdered over the weekend will hold a vigil and rally Monday night.
Anthony Logan, 22, was shot and killed Saturday around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Cambridge Drive.
The vigil a rally will now be at Cardinal Valley Park, Cambridge Drive, which was the site of the shooting. Logan's family says a "Stop the Violence Rally" will be held at 6 p.m., and the memorial will follow at 7 p.m.
Investigators continue their search for the accused gunman. On Sunday, police obtained a warrant for the arrest of Brandon Lamont Bailey, 28, the man they say murdered Logan.
"I'm just heartbroken right now," said Regina Oxendine, Logan's sister. "He was only 22 and for him to just lose his life that short, it was just, I still don't believe it."
Logan was preparing for a night out to celebrate his birthday when police say he was gunned down during a fight.
"It's 'pow pow pow', four shots and you gone. My brother's gone for eternity," said Oxendine.
Oxendine was on her way to meet up with her baby brother, when she heard the gunfire. She ran to his side, but it was too late.
"This was like the wrongest way for him to die. He didn't deserve it. Don't nobody deserve to die like this," Oxendine told LEX 18.
Funeral arrangements for Logan are pending. If you have any information as to Bailey's whereabouts, you are asked to contact Lexington Police.
