Felony charges have been filed in the case of a kitten beaten with a golf club.

"Lucky" the kitten's legs' were shattered. 32-year-old Gary Foster, Jr. of Madison County is charged with torture of a cat.

Lucky's new owner, Rocky Alexander, says the kitten was slammed to the ground, choked, then hit.

The kitten underwent a four-hour surgery in August to repair his injuries. He is epected to make a full recovery.
