Lexington firefighters received an early wakeup call for a blaze inside a commercial building Wednesday morning.

But by the time crews arrived at the scene, the building's sprinkler system had already done its job, knocking the fire out.

Firefighters got the call just before 2 a.m. for an alarm at building along Prim Rose Court. Crews cut through an overhead door to get onto the facility, used by iHigh.com for storage.

The sprinklers did what they're supposed to do. They held the fire in check, they notified us when they were activated and now we'll get to clean it up," Lexington Fire Dept. Batt. Chief Harold Hoskins said.

There were no reported injuries.

No word on what sparked the blaze.
