A fire destroyed a wood shop in Bourbon County Friday morning.

The homeowner along Stewart Road says he noticed smoke coming from the outbuilding around 8:30 a.m. and called 911. He said he heard things inside the wood shop exploding. Firefighters initially called in three other departments to assist, but cancelled two. Fortunately, a nearby propane tank did not explode.

The fire destroyed the building.

Nobody was injured.
