Fire investigators believe children playing with a cigarette lighter started a fire at a Nicholasville townhome.

Crews were called to the Pleasant Grove townhomes just before 8:00 Saturday night. Investigators say a four and five year old were playing with a lighter that caught a mattress on fire. Everyone made it out safely, but the building was heavily damaged.

There's no word on when the family will be able to move back in.
