Firefighters quickly doused a fire burning outside of a Winchester duplex Friday morning.

Firefighters say a neighbor alerted two people inside one of the units that there was a fire burning outside the back porch. They called 911 and firefighters quickly arrived and put out the blaze. The fire didn't spread to the structure, but several rooms in one unit sustained some smoke and water damage.

Nobody was injured.

Firefighters continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
