GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Firefighters respond to medical emergencies, battle fires and apparently round up cattle in western Kentucky.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet thanks firefighters from the Gilbertsville and Grand Lakes fire departments for helping capture cows who began roaming when a truck transporting them overturned . It occurred Tuesday at the east end of the Tennessee River Bridge on U.S. 62.
The driver wasn't hurt.
A news release from the Transportation Cabinet says an environmental cleanup crew and workers repairing the guardrail are expected to be working there Wednesday.
