Police in Richmond continue to search for a shoplifting suspect who nearly ran over a store employee as she fled the scene.

Police say loss prevention employees at the J.C. Penny on Lantern Ridge spotted a woman concealing items last Friday. When she left the store, the employees followed and tried to stop her in the parking lot. Investigators say the woman revved her engine and nearly hit an employee as she fled the parking lot.

Police say the suspect was a white woman driving a red Chevy Cobalt.
