Deputies in Fleming County arrested a man after a violent home invasion left a wheelchair bound man injured.

Deputies say Leslie Jester Jr. broke into the victim's home along Farris Branch Road, assaulted him and took his medicine. Jester escaped in the victim's truck, but got stuck in a ditch about 100 feet down the road. Deputies tracked Jester down with a K-9 unit and arrested him. Officials say he is from North Carolina and has a lengthy criminal record.

Deputies had to take the homeowner to the hospital for treatment. The ambulance was not able to get up the road because of icy conditions.
