A Florida defensive back who verbally committed to Kentucky says a coaching change won't make a difference, and he is now looking at other schools.
According to an Orlando Sentinel report, Winter Park cornerback Blake McClain's said his verbal commitment to UK "turned soft" several weeks ago, before Kentucky announced coach Joker Phillips would not return next season. The paper reports that a decommitment sounds imminent, and the 6-foot 195 pound back is now looking at Pitt and Iowa State.
"Yeah, it's a soft commitment right now. I'm really liking Iowa State and Pitt," McClain said. "I already went to Iowa State with Alton Meeks (Dr. Phillips High School quarterback) and Sean Curtis (Olympia High School lineman) a couple of weeks ago, and I'll be going to Pitt in December."
