Two Floyd County men who admitted to operating a chop shop have been sentenced to prison.
Marty Keith Hamilton, 51, and Gary Dean Keathley, 53, both of Betsy Lane, Kentucky were sentenced to 6 1/2 and 4 years, respectively, in the case. The men were also sentenced for possessing vehicles with altered vehicle identification number plates with the intent to sell or distribute.
Hamilton admitted during his plea in 2008 to stealing 60 vehicles from a local dealership where he worked.
Keathley pleaded guilty last year and admitted that both men purchased donor vehicles from dealerships and salvage yards and took VIN plates.
Both men are required to pay restitution.
