A southeastern Kentucky sheriff has been arrested after police say he was driving drunk and swerving all over the Mountain Parkway.
Authorities in Powell County tell LEX 18 they pulled over Floyd County sheriff John Blackburn around 8 p.m. Sunday. According to Stanton Police, Blackburn almost hit a guardrail and crossed the center line several times in his Tahoe.
Officers say Blackburn was talking slow, had bloodshot eyes, and smelled of alcohol. They say Blackburn's blood alcohol level was point 2.02, more than twice the legal limit.
Blackburn was charged with DUI and released on bond later Monday morning.
