LEX 18 is on the scene of a forest fire in Rowan County that's been burning throughout the evening.
The fire is around the area of US 60 East in the 4200 block. Multiple fire departments have responded and are working to contain the fire. So far, 80 acres have burned throughout the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Firefighters are cutting a line with bulldozers to stop the flames from spreading, but firefighters say several cliffs make it difficult to get to the location and to bring water.
One side of the hill is fully involved.
Firefighters tell LEX 18 the fire started in a pile of brush that someone burned.
So far, no structures have been affected.
Firefighters want to remind everyone that trash cannot be burned in your yard between 6:00am and 6:00 pm until April.
