Former Scott County basketball star Bud Mackey was sentenced to over 15 years in prison Monday morning in a drug and theft case.

The former basketball stand-out recently entered a guilty plea in court for trafficking in a controlled substance as well as escaping from the Scott County Sheriff's Office while being arrested on a robbery charge.

Mackey was sentenced to 15 1/2 years - 10 1/2 for robbery, theft and trafficking drugs, and five years for probation violation. The escape charge against Mackey was dismissed.

Mackey's robbery charge was amended to felony theft.
