Former Scott County High School basketball star Jonathan "Bud" Mackey was sentenced Friday after earlier pleading guilty to a gun charge.

Mackey had entered a guilty plea to criminal attempt and being a felon convicted in possession of a handgun. Mackey was arrested last may by Lexington Police after a call about shots fired in the Versailles Road area.

Mackey was sentenced to one year, probated over two years. He's already served 240 days.
