Lexington police arrested a former professional boxer over the weekend.

According to a police report, officers arrested Darrin Van Horn, 43, Saturday evening and charged him with violating a protective order. Police say he made a phone call to his ex-wife.

Van Horn won two boxing belts during his career. He graduated from the University of Kentucky.

According to detention center records, Van Horn is no longer in the jail.
