Former Volunteer Firefighters Charged With Arson Sentenced

Three former Boyle County volunteer firefighters charged with arson were sentenced Thursday.

Stephen Orberson faced seven counts of third-degree arson. He'll serve two years on each count. His sentence will run concurrently.

James Robert Tate faced five counts of arson, and he'll serve two years for each count that will run concurrently.

A count of third-degree arson was added to Frederick Tate, who will serve two years concurrently on three counts of third-degree arson.

A fourth volunteer firefighter, Melinda Orberson, is set to appear April 1 in the same case.
