Four People Hospitalized After Accident

Four people had to be flown to UK Hospital Sunday afternoon after a head-on crash on I-75.

It happened just after 3:00 at the 25 milemarker near Corbin.

Police say a car going north crossed the median and slammed head-on into another car going south. One of the cars was thrown into the path of another car going south on I-75. A fourth car drove into the median to avoid the crash. A total of 11 people were involved, 4 of them are in critical condition at UK, including a 3-year-old who suffered minor injuries.

Three passengers had to be cut out of their cars.

The section of I-75 was closed for about an hour and a half and has since been reopened.
