The Division of Waste Management will be adjusting its collection schedules for the Fourth of July holiday in Fayette County.
Residents whose normal collection day is Monday, July 4, will receive service on Wednesday, July 6, instead. This change of collection schedule affects residents and businesses that have Herbies, Rosies and/or Lennies.
Residents and businesses who normally receive Monday pick up should place their Herbies, Rosies and Lennies out Tuesday night, July 5, to ensure collection the following day.
Businesses that have city waste management services on their dumpsters and normally have pickups on Mondays will have their units picked up on Tuesday, July 5. Businesses that normally have Tuesday pick ups will have their units picked up on Wednesday, June 6.
In addition, the Bluegrass Waste Alliance Transfer Station, the Haley Pike landfill, the LFUCG Recycling Center and the city's Electronic Recycling Center will be open Saturday, July 2, but will be closed on Monday, July 4.
