Frankfort Police Search For Gas Station Robber

Police in Frankfort are investigating after a Speedway gas station was robbed Tuesday night.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m. at the Speedway located on Versailles Road. The victim clerk told police that one perpetrator armed with a large knife, entered the store and demanded money from the register. The suspect then fled, apparently on foot, with an undetermined amount of cash.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit assisted and searched the area.

The suspect is described as a white/male, 5'8''-5'9'' tall, 180-190 pounds, with short strawberry blonde hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt, and his face was covered with a blue sleeve apparently cut from his shirt. He also has a tattoo on his left (arm) bicep.
