Frankfort Police Searching For Robbery Suspect

Frankfort police are looking for the suspect in a violent robbery.

Police say a witness told them a male juvenile was walking across a field next to the intersection of Meagher Avenue and Wallace Avenue around 10:30 p.m. back on Sept. 29 when a man ran up behind the victim and hit him in the head five or six times with a skateboard. The suspect grabbed the victim's book bag and ran off. Investigators say the book bag contained personal items and some cash.

EMS took the victim to the hospital for treatment of a severe cut to the head.

Police say they have issued an arrest warrant for Joshua Stigers, 18, of Frankfort, charging him with robbery.

Police ask anyone that may have information about the robbery, or Stigers' location, to call them at (502) 875-8523. Information may also be given anonymously by calling Frankfort Crime Stoppers at 502 875-8648 or on the web at www.frankfortcrimestoppers.com. Crime Stoppers may pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
