Attorney General Jack Conway announced Wednesday the arrest of a Franklin County man for possession of child pornography.
James S. Crawford, 38, is charged with four counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance of a minor, a Class D felony.
Investigators from Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit, with assistance from the Frankfort Police Department, arrested Crawford after executing a search warrant at his Frankfort home. He is currently being held in the Franklin County Detention Center.
Since its creation in June 2008, Attorney General Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, has seized nearly 70,000 child pornographic images from the Internet and investigated more than 100 child pornography cases in Kentucky.
