Military officials say a Fort Campbell soldier died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom on Thursday.

According to the Department of Defense, Pfc. Shane G. Wilson, 20, of Kuna, Idaho, died in Khost, Afghanistan. Wilson was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
