A special fundraiser is underway Monday for a teen nearly killed on her bicycle last month.

Shaina Whitt, 15, remains at Cardinal Hill Hospital recovering from injuries she suffered when a car hit her along Man O' War Boulevard.

The fundraiser is going on at Masterson Station Park. Shaina belongs to a huge soccer family, so they decided to do a soccer related fundraiser. It's a dollar a goal, with all of the funds going to help offset mounting medical expenses. There is also food and entertainment.

The event runs until 4 p.m.
