Funeral arrangements are set for a Pulaski County man found murdered in his home early Saturday morning.
Police went to a home on McKee Street to speak to Homer Carrender, age 72, after finding his car a short distance from his apartment. When they arrived, officers were not able to get Carrender to come to the door. Maintenance personnel assisted them and Carrender was found dead inside his apartment. The initial investigation showed Carrender had been the victim of a homicide, and died of bluint force trauma to the head.
Detectives have identified a person of interest in the case, but that person’s identity has not been released.
Visitation for Carrender will be held at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home Tuesday at 6 p.m., and funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Funeral Home chapel. Carrender will be buried in the Taylor cemetery.
