The 35-26 UK Football loss to Western Kentucky was a tough one to start the Mark Stoops era. No doubt about it. It had several True Blue Fans hitting the social media sites to start complaining about various topics. The biggest of which was losing the recruiting class that's committed for next season.
What we're finding is those players that have verbally committed to UK for 2014 are still committed. In fact, they're the biggest supporters of this year's team and are already trying to rally the fans.
Immediately after the loss to WKU--maybe even near the end of the 4th quarter--Conner Quarterback, Drew Barker, tweeted this out:
Quit acting like we are going to decommit ?? we know the situation! Wait until we play WKU the next 4-5 yrs! Back to reality!

And, if you think it's just a kid from Kentucky trying to get behind his homestate team, think again. Here's what Mikel Horton, a running back from Ohio had to say on Monday:
Everybody needs to be at this game Saturday i all the commits will be attending the wildcats need are support right now lets lead them #BBN

This is really smart for these guys to show their support to the players they'll be playing with next season. Showing the fans they're still committed to coming to UK. And, rallying around each other to really make this a place they can help turn around when they arrive next season.
