INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A spokeswoman for a gas company says the utility didn't receive any reports about a faulty furnace at an Indianapolis home that exploded, killing two people.
The weekend explosion damaged dozens of homes so severely officials say they must be demolished. The owner of one of the homes that exploded in Indianapolis said Monday a problem furnace could be to blame.
Sarah Holsapple of Citizens Energy says the company did not receive any calls about the furnace. But she also said that a homeowner or contractor who fixed a furnace would not necessarily report it to the gas company.
Investigators say they do not yet know what caused the explosion.
