Georgetown Police chief Greg Reeves has been relieved of his duties.

Reeves had served for eight years as chief of the Georgetown Police Department. LEX 18 has learned a letter of "no confidence was signed" by the majority of police officers on the police force.

Reeves was appointed to his position in 2004. So far, there is no word on who will follow Reeves as chief.
