The retrial of a man accused of killing his parents in Scott County is expected to go to the jury sometime this week.
Anthony Gray, who is accused of gunning down his parents, James and Vivian Gray, to collect insurance money back in 2007, took the stand in his own defense Tuesday.
Gray testified that police tricked him into confessing to the murders of his parents. He says police made him believe they had evidence linking him to the shootings. Gray claims after five and a half hours of interrogation, a Scott County detective gave him no choice but to confess to the crime he says he didn't commit.
In Gray's first trial, a judge declared a mistrial in January of 2012 after the jury failed to reach a verdict.
The defense is expected to wrap up its case Wednesday or Thursday, and the jury will begin deliberating.
