More than 100 people gathered at the State Capitol Saturday afternoon in support of gun rights. They wanted to get their message across as new bills are introduced concerning gun control.
The Kentucky Division of Gun Rights Across America held the rally. A spokesperson for the group says cold weather might have limited the crowd, but they still had a good showing.
Several speakers spoke about varying sub topics on gun rights, including the economic impact of limiting guns.
The group says the rally isn't just for them, but about protecting the rights of future generations.
"We're the drop of water that's going to move that mountain. That drop of water is just a small drop but pretty soon it starts to wear on the mountain top to where that mountain is gone," says Bryan Tucker.
The group says they will gather at the State Capitol next month and the month after that, as long as it takes to get their message across about defending the second amendment.
