The Miami Heat trimmed its roster to 15 players today, meaning that second-year players Josh Harrellson and Terrel Harris made the two final roster spots on the team. Both Harrellson and Harris signed non-guaranteed deals with Miami this season, so Miami could still waive one or both of them to make room for a veteran or two later in the year.
Harrellson appeared in 37 games for the Knicks during the 2011-12 season, but battled injuries. The 23-year-old big man averaged 14.6 minutes per game, 4.4 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Harrellson was dealt to the Houston Rockets in the deal that brought Marcus Camby to the Knicks in July. The Rockets waived Harrellson after completing the trade.
