A former teammate of Terrence Jones and DeAndre Liggins say he would not be surprised if both players returned to play for Kentucky next season.
Three Wildcat players - Liggins, Jones and Brandon Knight - have entered the NBA draft but have not signed with an agent, leaving open the possibility of returning to Lexington next season.
"I think two of them might come back," Harrellson said, while admitting that his opinion comes from spending the season with the players, not from any recent conversations.
"I think DeAndre [Liggins] has a good chance of coming back. He's great, I think with one more year he could be a first round draft pick, and I think Terrence [Jones] if he came back, could be top five next year," he said.
Harrellson certainly understands the potential benefits of another year in college. He was a little used reserve player before transforming in to an NBA prospect during his senior season. He also knows that leaving has an obvious appeal.
"They got a chance to go, why not go?" Harrellson said. "I would love for all of them to come back and develop their game but like they say, money does talk and it's hard to pass it up."
According to Harrellson, Kentucky will host representatives from every NBA team Monday for a private workout featuring all four of the NBA hopefuls.
"I guess it was the best way to do it, so the guys who maybe are coming back can decide if they want to go or not," Harrellson said.
Underclassmen who have not hired an agent have until May 8 to withdraw from the draft and return to school.
