Harrison Twins Named to USA Junior National Select Team

USA Basketball today named the roster for its 2013 USA Junior National Select Team that will take on the World Select Team in the 2013 Nike Hoop Summit, and the USA will be led by two coaches and four players with prior international basketball experience, including USA medalists and prep standouts Aaron Gordon (Archbishop Mitty H.S./San Jose, Calif.), Rondaé Hollis-Jefferson (Chester H.S./Chester, Pa.), Jabari Parker (Simeon Career Academy/Chicago, Ill.) and Julius Randle (Prestonwood Christian Academy/ McKinney, Texas).

The U.S. roster also features 2012 USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team Training Camp participants Aaron (Travis H.S./ Richmond, Texas) and Andrew Harrison (Travis H.S./Richmond, Texas), as well as USA Basketball newcomers Kasey Hill (Montverde Academy/Eustis, Fla.), Demetrius Jackson (Marian H.S./Mishawaka, Ind.), Bobby Portis (Hall H.S./Little Rock, Ark.) and Noah Vonleh (New Hampton School, N.H./Haverhill, Mas.).

The 2013 Nike Hoop Summit will be played at 4 p.m. (PDT) on Saturday, April 20 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.

The Nike Hoop Summit, the country's premier annual basketball game for high-school boys, features America's top seniors playing against a World Team comprised of elite, international players who are 19-years-old or younger.

Seven U.S. team members have signed a National Letter of Intent for the 2013-14 NCAA season. Aaron and Andrew Harrison will play at Kentucky, Hill will attend Florida, Hollis-Jefferson is headed to Arizona, Jackson signed with Notre Dame, Portis committed to Arkansas and Vonleh will go to Indiana. Parker verbally committed to attend Duke in the fall, and two players - Gordon and Randle - remain undecided.

All 10 players rank among the nation's top 30 boys basketball players and seven are ranked among the top 10 by three different scouting services. ESPNU ranks Parker at No. 2, Andrew Harrison at No. 3, Randle at No. 4, Aaron Harrison at No. 5, Gordon at No. 7, Vonleh at No. 8, Hill at No. 9, Portis at No. 11, Hollis-Jefferson at No. 17 and Jackson at No. 21.

Scout.com has Parker at No. 2, Andrew Harrison at No. 3, Aaron Harrison at No. 4, Randle at No. 5, Gordon at No. 6, Hill at No. 7, Vonleh at No. 9, Hollis-Jefferson at No. 12, Portis at No. 16 and Jackson at No. 26; while Rivals.com lists Randle at No. 2, Parker at No. 3, Aaron Harrison at No. 4, Andrew Harrison at No. 5, Gordon at No. 6, Vonleh at No. 7, Hill at No. 9, Portis at No. 17, Hollis-Jefferson at No. 19 and Jackson at No. 30.

Six members of the seven-player Naismith Boy's High School Player of the Year Early Season Watch List released on Dec. 14 were U.S. Hoop Summit team members, including Aaron and Andrew Harrison, Hill, Hollis-Jefferson, Parker and Vonleh.
