Jimmie Darrell Gay, 62, of Hazard, was sentenced to 97 months in prison and lifetime supervised release after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

In his guilty plea, Gay admitted receiving visual depictions of child porn through e-mail and on the internet between October 2008 and January 2009. Gay also admitted he knew that the subjects in the pictures were minors.

Gay was indicted in June 2009.

The Kentucky Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit and the FBI conducted the investigation.
